Kindle 2 ships — with Linux inside
Amazon.com has started shipping its second-generation Kindle 2 e-book reader, and its open-source page confirms that the device runs Linux. Compared to the original Kindle, the Kindle 2 offers a slimmer design, longer battery life, seven times more storage (2GB), and a text-to-speech feature, says Amazon.
